Happy Halloween Kittens and Kidds!!!! I hope you all have fabulous and safe plans for the evening…. I finally figured out what I’m going to be and pulled the costume together just in time (i.e. this morning.) I will be posting photos of my tricking and treating tomorrow. But for now I would love to leave you with some beautiful photos that have just a touch of that Halloween spirit…….
I seriously thought it smelled like snow outside today. The weather has turned so fast that I can barely believe it. These ladies have found the perfect way to bundle up and brave the cold. I found these photos at http://www.thesartorialist.blogspot.com/, a fabulous blob that I read daily. The guy who does this blog also just came out with a book, which I got for my birthday. I am waiting for the perfect rainy Seattle day to break it out and curl up on the couch with a cup of tea, and not move for hours. I will let you know how it goes, for now enjoy…
I have been fretting about what to do with my hair for some time now and I’ve finally got it! This is the look, my hair is already black so we are half way there. In addition I feel that some foreheads need to be covered and mine is one of them, so the bangs are perfect! I will be working on this asap…..
Everyone knows I love a feather. And lately my hair has been boring me to death. So I thought I would put the two together to mix things up. In the stores these feather clips are anywhere from $15 to $30. Well this lady can’t be affording that price for a freaking clip so I figured I make them myself. I also added some old old buttons I got from my great aunt when I was like 10. Yes I have saved them all these years, I may or may not have some hoarding tendencies, and it finally paid off :)
It is bout a week until Halloween and I still don’t know what I’m going to be. On the other hand, I’m feeling very into season. After breakfast I will be carving pumpkins and watching Halloween movies and thinking about a costume. These are just a few quick photos that are getting me in a fall mood this morning, hope you like them…
What I’m wondering is if you can bedazzle tights? Or does the nylon just rip? Because if you, can someone please get me one of those bedazzling machines from when I was young so I can do this!!!!!! I never got to have one and now is as good a time as any. Love these tights!!!!!!!
This afternoon my dear friend Josh came over after work to help me sew some things. He is very talented especially when it comes to making things out of fabric, wood, and metal. I had 2 dresses that I got on a few of our thrifting trips that desperately needed to be taken up. Both the dresses were about mid calf length, which is no good, and I wanted them to be minis! Surprising I know! And as per usual Josh came through with flying colors. These are just a few quick photos I will repost these dresses when I wear them out and about.
Lately I feel like I don’t want to wear any of my boots. I want shorter but not flat heels. Soft black leather, worn in but not worn out. Chains, studs, and straps. I don’t feel like I’m asking for that much however my dream boots are no where to be found. Grrrrrrrr!!!!! Double hex!!!!!!! These pictures might get things going in the right direction, come on universe don’t let me down…….
This girl Jameela Jamil has been all the buzz lately. I have checked out a few of her photos and must say I kind of like her. I like that she wears heavy black eye liner because I too love the black liner. I am some what unsure of what it is that she does but I must say I pretty much don’t care. She is adorable!!!!! Thus on my fave list she will go.
